Wendy Shapiro, Operations Manager at SSO, works closely with tenants to resolve any type of issue relating to facilities. Even before a new tenant moves into the building, Wendy ensures the transition goes smoothly by serving as their liaison. At the other end of the spectrum, she assists in guiding tenants through the move out process every step of the way. Additionally, Wendy reacts quickly to all of SSO's tenants' requirements regarding leasing information, renovations, repairs, parking and personal comfort.

Previously, Wendy developed a keen understanding of customer service and work ethic during the more than 25 years she spent in the retail industry. With this experience, she developed a strong sense of urgency and good follow through. Simultaneously, she earned a degree in interior design at Marymount University before making a career move to serve as business development and accounts manager at a midsized interior design/MEP engineering firm in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, Wendy gained a thorough understanding of the workings of the built environment while strengthening her collaboration capabilities. After becoming actively involved in the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Wendy brought her skills and experience to the multifaceted tenants of SSO.

Wendy recently achieved recognition in her profession by becoming a Certified Facility Manager (CFM). While she originally hails from Queens, New York, Wendy has lived in Arlington, Virginia for over 30 years and considers it home.
