As Senior Logistics Manager at State Services Organization, Val Ogora manages the day-to-day operations of multiple departments within SSO. In addition to overseeing Conference Services, all print production / brokering projects, and mail services, Val specializes in assisting SSO’s internal departments, tenants and clients in reducing their overall project costs, streamlining processes, and achieving their organizational goals. Over 25 years of industry experience has led to Val’s strong knack for customer service and her creative “outside the box” thinking when it comes to problem-solving and developing cost-saving solutions; her success with this is illustrated in her ability to develop and maintain many long-lasting client relationships at the Hall of the States.
Prior to SSO, Val worked as a Print Purchasing Buyer for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield where she gained valuable knowledge purchasing over $12 million of inventory printed materials, maintaining production schedules, and establishing an on-line website to assist with purchasing company promotional products. She has additional extensive experience in document managed services; starting and successfully managing business processes across legal, commercial and banking markets; building and leading diverse teams; managing multiple client sites; and, implementing processes aimed at improving workflows and productivity.
Val received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Maryland. During her tenure with Bowne Business Solutions, she completed and received certificates in the Manager Development Curriculum, Business Finance for the Non-Financial Professionals, and LAW Certification. Val was also awarded the Customer Service Shining Star Award in 2003 and the GOP SE Region Front-Runner Award in 2004 for her business management and dedication.
Born and raised in Maryland, Val calls Baltimore her home. Val is the first generation of Ukrainian parents and a native speaker of the language. Most of her free time away from the office is spent cheering for the Ravens and Orioles and socializing with family and friends.
