As Client Services Associate at State Services Organization, Marilia Miller is the first person you see when visiting the office. Marilia handles the day-to-day front office activities and provides administrative support services to the Library and all other departments as needed. When interacting with clients and tenants, her focus is to provide superior customer service through listening and communication, simultaneously building and maintaining a trusted business relationship.

Prior to SSO, Marilia worked at a home care company, dealing with the legal and health aspects of aging. She coordinated and scheduled agency home health care for geriatric clients. This involved quickly adapting to home health aides’ changing schedules while ensuring a superior level of care would be given.

Marilia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Brazil, where she participated in research groups specializing in Gerontology. A native of Brazil, Marilia speaks fluent Portuguese. In her spare time away from work, Marilia enjoys hiking with her dog.
