The resources of the SSO Library are focused on common areas of concern to SSO tenants: health care, education, energy, environment, homeland security, State- Federal-Congressional relations, transportation, and telecommunications.
The SSO library subscribes to over 40 online newsletters and databases including products from Congressional Quarterly, The Bureau of National Affairs, Environment & Energy, and National Journal. The full-suite of Leadership Directories (Yellow Books) is also available online as well as all the Congressional Research Service (CRS) Reports dating back to 1993 (searchable by subject area and keyword). In addition, the library subscribes to The Cooke Political Report.
Daily, the library sends updates from the online newsletters and databases to SSO tenants. Library staff scan online and print resources for information pertinent to SSO tenants’ organizations and alerts them to it. These alerts include legislation on the state and federal levels, Congressional Research Service reports, and news releases.
